Wyoming Yard, Wyoming, Michigan, February, 1973

 

An aerial view of the C&O's ex-Pere Marquette Wyoming Yard, taken during February, 1973.

In 1973, the yard was still a very busy place, with the freight car shops still working on large numbers of cars and cabooses. Changed from the PM days are the large wye which used to connect the turntable to the body of the yard (the north leg of the wye has been gone for many years by this time), and the roundhouse, which has had its first stalls demolished.
